This is the second of two sessions.
Please be sure to tone your canvas with a warm color ahead of time so it’s dry in time for the first class.
Subject is your photo, your choice!
Bring 2 photos of the image you want to paint (one in black & white and another in color). Your photo must be the same size as your canvas. You will use carbon paper to transfer your image to your canvas.
Marilyn will assist each student with composition, color theory, color mixing, and coaching as needed to complete a painting from the photo they provided.
Schedule:
Wednesday, October 2 and Wednesday, and October 16.
9 AM - 12 PM Each Day

High school aged - Adult
Class Experience Level: All experience levels
Class Size: 6-9 students
Workshop Fees:
Payment due in advance of the class.
If you will be using instructor’s materials, add $25 to the class fee below and you must still provide your own toned canvas.
One full week notice required for refund to be issued.
Members: $100 for both sessions
Non-Members: $145 for both sessions

Cadmium Yellow
Naples Yellow*
Thalo Blue*
Titanium White*
Ultramarine Blue*
Viridian Green*
Yellow Ochre
*colors are a must.
Brushes & Misc:
Filbert Brushes#1, #2, #3, & #6. I use Utrecht Series 209.
Also Utrecht 239-B Mixed Synthetic #4 is excellent for softening edges
(If you already have filberts, bring what you have.)
Canvas size of your choice.

Turpenoid
Metal cup for turpenoid
Rags or paper towels
Palette, large, your choice
French Easel or bring what you have. If you sit the art center has easels to use.
