Watercolor - Blacks, Whites, and Grays in a World of Color - with Caroline Henry

Description:
Class focuses on creating the darks, grays, and shades of white in your paintings. We will create some color mixing guides for reference and create a paints with an opportunity to use these shades as well of your more colorful hues.

Schedule:
Friday, November 22, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Class Audience:
Open to adults and youth 12 years and up.

Class Experience Level:
This class is for beginners or for experienced painters who want more guided practice.

Class Size:
Minimum class size is four, maximum is 12.

Workshop Fees:
$22 for LCAC members, $25 for non-members.

Supplies:
Pencil and eraser. If you have watercolor tube or pan paints, already, use them. Otherwise, some good colors are thalo blue, permanent rose is a nice red, and hansa (lemon) yellow, burnt sienna, Paynes gray, burnt umber, and yellow ochre. You need 140 pound paper or heavier weight, no smaller than 9” by 12”. Bring brushes you have. I have brushes available for borrowing, and if you find some that you love, you can keep them by making a modest donation to the art center. Round brushes sizes 8, 10, and 12 would be excellent for this class.
