FEATURED ARTIST: Renée RONDON

Painting has long been a passion for me. I love the smell, the texture, creating compositions, all of it! Plein air painting is the best because I can see, feel and experience firsthand everything having to do with scenery – the views, animals, sounds, and of course the colors. Somehow painting outdoors brings freshness and vibrancy to paintings that is really beneficial to the finished piece. Of course, there are challenges when painting plein air. But, overcoming problems such as paintings blowing into the dirt, bugs landing in wet paint, cold and wet weather, forgetting items, is part of the fun.

My goal for this show is to share the amazing scenery in Arizona and California. All of these paintings have been started or conceived from camping trips throughout these areas. There is no end to the beautiful places to visit in the United States. I hope sharing a few of these special places will bring you great pleasure and a desire to see these and many others for yourself.
